Introduction
Redesigned from the ground up.

Three years ago we made our first Carry Case. More than 20,000 people bought it, and that told us the idea was right. It also taught us everything we needed to change.

That's why we've spent 14 months exploring manufacturing techniques, sampling materials and testing surface finishes. Not just to update the original Carry Case, but to redesign it from the ground up.

01: Carry Case II
The case we always wanted to make.

Smaller dimensions. One material, front to back. A redesigned lid, fully cylindrical chambers and a new spring-loaded bottom compartment. And five new scratch- and fingerprint resistant finishes.

Carry Case II is made to hold to the same standard as everything else you care about in your life. Not just how it looks, but how it works, how it holds up, and how it feels in your hand five years from now.

Carry Case II
02: Engineering
14 months of engineering.

No one has made a case like this before, which meant there was no playbook. Every decision, from supplier to surface finish, had to be worked out through testing, iteration, and starting over when the result wasn't good enough. We explored dozens of manufacturing techniques and material grades before landing on the ones that made it into production.

6063-T5 Aluminum
One of the hardest problems was the aluminum itself. A harder alloy holds a cleaner, more metallic finish, but resists the soft, rounded geometry we wanted. A softer alloy shapes beautifully, but won't hold the same surface quality. Getting both — the feel of a sculpted object and a material that performs in day-to-day life — meant finding the exact point where those two demands meet, and engineering every moving part around it.

The entire case is machined to a tolerance of ±0.1mm. At that scale, precision isn't just part of the design. It is the design.

03: CNC
CNC-milled from one solid block of aluminum.

Every Carry Case is milled from a single block of architectural grade aluminum. A 5-axis CNC carves the interior cavity, the lid channel, and the chamfered edges — all from the same material. No composites, no plastics, no hidden layers. What's left is the form, and nothing else.

Tolerances of ±0.1mm
Every moving part like the hinge, the lid and the spring mechanism, is machined to a tolerance of ±0.1mm. At that margin, parts either meet perfectly or they don't work at all. You feel it in the weight of the close and in the snap of the bottom compartment locking back into place.

04: Design
Form meets function.

The Carry Case was designed to solve two problems at once: it needed to work seamlessly in your daily life, and it needed to look like it belongs next to everything else you carry. Both problems are solved by the same decision — one continuous form, with no sharp transitions anywhere on the body.

Honest to the material
Every edge is filleted into a continuous radius, from the lid through the sides and down to the base. That's what makes it easy to pocket, comfortable to hold, and quiet when you set it down on a table. At 180 grams, it’s enough to feel substantial, never heavy.

Form and finish
A continuous radius also changes how the material behaves in light. A curved surface pulls light across itself, stretching the grain and the color into something that shifts with every angle. The case looks different in the morning than it does at night and different on a wooden table than in your hand. The form doesn't just carry the finish, it changes it.

Design
05: Chambers
Four fully cylindrical chambers.

Nothing gets stuck, nothing gets crushed
Carry Case II has four cylindrical chambers, each 12mm in diameter and 110mm deep. King size fits without compression and the round form holds the shape of whatever's inside — glass tips, hand-rolled or pre-made.

Engraved chamber indicators
Each chamber is numbered one through four, CNC-engraved directly into the lid. A way to keep track of what's where.

Chambers
06: Magnetic Lid
A close worth repeating.

Ten magnets, built into the body, hold the lid in place. It opens with one hand, but there's no risk of it opening on its own in a pocket or a purse. The close is firm, weighted, and satisfying enough that you'll find yourself doing it again just for the feel of it.

No unwanted scent
The tolerances are tight enough for metal to meet metal without a gap, and tight enough to contain unwanted scent. The seal is magnetic force and the precision of the fit.

Magnetic Lid
07: Hidden Storage
For the ones you save for later.

Not everything needs to be finished in one session. The base of the Carry Case is built for what's left — a spring-loaded compartment that stores what you want to come back to later.

The mechanism
The base opens by tilting the bottom panel away from the body. It won't release straight down, which means it stays shut in a bag or a pocket and only opens when you mean it to. The compartment sits flush against the body, sealed tight enough to contain scent.

08: Surface
The metal is the finish.

Built to last for decades
Every finish starts with the raw milled aluminum. The surface is prepared differently depending on the colorway — polished smooth, brushed with a directional grain, or blasted to a matte texture. What happens next is the same for all of them.

Anodization
An electrical current grows a layer of aluminum oxide from the metal itself. Color is absorbed into the porous oxide structure, then sealed. The result is a surface that's part of the metal, not something applied to it. Scratch-resistant, corrosion-proof, and UV-stable.

Five colorways, one process

The texture underneath determines the character of the color above. A polished surface reflects it. A brushed surface shifts it with the grain. A blasted surface absorbs it. Same process, same protection, five different results.

Surface
09: Silver Brushed
The grain gives the surface direction and movement.

The grain
A horizontal grain is applied across the face of the case. It's fine enough to feel smooth under your thumb, while coarse enough to read clearly in light. The strokes aren't one continuous line from edge to edge. They break into shorter marks, overlapping and building on each other across the surface. On the curved edges, the brushing follows the radius, wrapping the texture around the form.

The character
Silver Brushed is the most restrained finish in the collection. The grain diffuses reflectivity without removing the metallic sheen. Where a polished surface takes in the light around it, a brushed surface holds its own. Cool, quiet, and readable as pure material.

Wipe with a soft dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive materials.

Solid 6063-T5 aluminum, CNC-milled from a single block. The color and finish are applied directly to the surface through surface treatment and anodization - not painted, not coated.

The anodization process naturally hardens the surface. With normal use it holds up well. Avoid contact with harder surfaces like keys or other metal objects.
